Reflection on article - Singapore's ugly mangrove swamps
I used to have that thought of mangrove swamps being dark, smelly, dirty and muddy as usual Singapores would think. However, after reading the article, i believe and know that the mangrove swamp is actually a place better than a home. Why do I say that? Because, a mangrove swamp is a natural habitat, there are so much to learn and discover. Isn't it better than the TV and computers? There are so many knowledge at the mangrove swamp that cannot be found on the media. Also, having 24/7 of fresh air, being able to stay healthy. Isn't it better than a fan or air conditional? The mangrove swamp is a place with animals and plants species. Every movement, every step is something worth to stop and observe. To enjoy the mangrove swamp, to enjoy mother's nature. Thus, i agree with the writer that ' this beauty can only be appreciated with patience and an open mind '. If one were to go there with a lot of troubles and unhappiness, one cannot appreciate the beauty of mangroves. If I have the time, I would like to go there and learn something. Learn something about geography there. It would be nice to have a class outing there.
